It's been a while.

Oh, hello. It's been a while since i've last updated! I promise to start blogging more now that it's summertime. I'm in the works of re-vamping and designing a brand new layout for Twenty and Counting. So be on the lookout soon for some fun changes and exciting news!

The past few months have been busy, hectic and...rainy. Oregon has so much rain! However, Spring has been awesome and Summer is just around the corner. When you have a few days of sunshine here, you forget all about the rain. It's so, so beautiful in Oregon during the next few months!

In a nutshell - a few updates from me. I've been at my news station for almost one year now. Time flies by quickly! My sister graduated from USC a few weeks ago so I went home for a quick little vacation/celebration to LA for a few days. It seems like I just graduated.

Last month, I was involved with the 8th annual DisOrient Film Festival - an Asian American social justice film festival here in Eugene. It was so much fun spending an entire weekend with a great group of volunteers not just with the films but opening receptions/after-parties/before parties and more, watching powerful, touching documentaries and films (my favorite), and being with other like-minded people. There were TONS of films throughout the weekend with powerful messages and wonderful cinematography!

Left: Tracy flew all the way from Honolulu to be at the film festival to represent "My KoAloha Story" It was my favorite documentary at the film festival about the family behind the KoAloha ukelele's. It inspired me to pick up an old uke in my parent's garage and start playing!

Right: I was the emcee for the opening reception at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. There was lots of food, music, and fun!

I've also started a series at my news station called "Weird Wednesdays" -- it's all about finding the most unique and eclectic people that really make our area one-of-a-kind. There are so many cool and interesting people here...Here's one of my stories:
